YHEC is a company wholly owned by the University of York. It was established in 1986 to extend the range of the University's services to the health care sector.

Our purpose is to provide consultancy and research in health economics to the NHS and the pharmaceutical and health care industries, which combines rigorous research standards with efficient project delivery.

Impact Diabetes Report
The YHEC report on the costs of diabetes is due for publication in May/June.  lt will added to the YHEC website at that point. YHEC Supports AHP QIPP Toolkits
YHEC developed the economic arguments that support the AHP QIPP toolkits that were launched by NHS London on 19 March.  The toolkits are designed to allow healthcare providers and commissioners to maximise the value they get from using allied health professionals in a variety of care pathways.

Matthew Taylor and colleagues have had a paper published in the Journal of  Medical Economics: "Cost-Effectiveness of Zoledronic Acid vs. Clodronic Acid for Newly-Diagnosed Multiple Myeloma from the United Kingdom Healthcare System Perspective".

Julie Glanville has contributed to a new HTA report on FDG positron emission tomography/computerised tomography (PET/CT) in pre-operative staging of colorectal cancer: a systematic review and economic evaluation.
