Budget Impact Models
In many cases, economic evaluations are designed to show the value for money of a new technology. However, many payers particularly those at a local level of decision making, are interested in the affordability of an intervention. As such, we design interactive budget impact models to be used as a tool with a manufacturer’s sales force. These models are designed to be transparent and easy to use. Furthermore, the interactive nature of those models allows the decision maker to alter the inputs to best reflect their unique setting. For example, decision makers may with some view bespoke epidemiology inputs, or baseline characteristics within a model. Our budget impact models include a printed ‘take home’ summary of the inputs and outputs of each analysis.
