Reviewing Services for the Private Sector
YHEC offers a range of reviewing services from scoping reviews and rapid evidence reviews, through to systematic reviews to inform submissions to reimbursement agencies. We can provide systematic reviews of effects, adverse effects, cost-effectiveness studies and health-related quality of life (HRQOL) to inform Single Technology Appraisals (STA) for NICE and submissions to other agencies. We also undertake reviews to identify research gaps, to inform the development of economic models and to summarise health-related quality of life.
YHEC has expertise in undertaking health technology assessment and economic evaluations of a range of healthcare interventions, including:
- Pharmaceuticals
- Medical Devices
- Diagnostic Technologies
- Surgical Procedures
We have an experienced multidisciplinary team of consultants and associates to support our reviews including systematic reviewers, health economists, information specialists, qualitative researchers and statisticians. YHEC has established resources and procedures to streamline the production of reviews and has undertaken reviews for a wide range of pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers.
As well as preparing reviews we can also provide review appraisals or critiques, and we can also assist with developing or scoping review questions.
YHEC staff are also active in the development of technology assessment methods and publish regularly in key journals in the field such as the International Journal of Technology Assessment in Healthcare and the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology.
